Pylontech BMS stores history?

Hi,

I have purchased 2 Pylotench US5000 batteries from a local distributor.

However, when I opened them, they had the SOC at about 60%.

The Pylontech manual says that:

2) If the battery is stored for long time, it is required to charge every six months, and the SOC should be no less than 90%
...
14) The warranty claims are excluded for direct or indirect damage due to items above.

So, what does that mean? That I lost my warranty?

How does Pylontech know if the battery was not kept at 90% SOC?

Does the battery BMS store a history of SOC from the beginning?

This really is a question for Pylontech and your supplier.

Most BMS's will store the battery history precisely for warranty and support.

It is unlikely that a new battery would be kept for long at a supplier, so long term storage does not apply.

The supplier insists there is no problem as long as I register the battery on the Pylontech website. But I do not know if that is the whole truth.
