PV Charger Cerbo GX Display

My system consists of Quattro 12/5000/220; Lynx Shunt 1000, Lynx Distributor 1000 x2, VE Bus BMS, MPPT 75/15 x2, MPPT 100/50x2, LiFePo4 Battery 12.8V/330Ah x3, VE Bus BMS Mains Detector, AutoTransformer 120.240/32, Cerbo GX

Greetings, my wife and I recently (two weeks ago) bought a cruising catamaran with a Victron System installed. Soon after, we lost the ability to connect with the solar controllers. I can see the solar controllers on my phone and connect via USB on my Windows computer, but the USB into Cerbo doesn't seem to be working. That is, the Cerbo GX is not reporting PV Charge information, and it doesn't seem that the system is using the energy being absorbed by the solar arrays to charge the batteries or operate the electronics on the boat. Anybody with time on their hands?

Hi @GregThom

If the 4x mppts are all wired via a usb hub, the first thing to check. Perhaps remove it and wire just one through on it's own as a test. Reboot the GX to redetect it.

Bear in mind the mppts aren't natively usb, but VE.Direct, and need an adaptor > usb. So if you have a VE.Direct cable and a spare port in the GX you could try that too.

Victron recommend a quality, powered usb hub.

And oh, don't use the Cerbo usb port next to the HDMI port, it's only a power supply for the Touch accessory, not real usb.
