Hi - I'm new to the VE-community and I'm more or less a starter when we talk abort VE products ;-)
Anyway - my challenge at present is, to find a guide for the setup of the ESS via the "VEConfigure 3" tool.
Status and setup is as follow:
- MultiPlus-II 48/500/70-50 (version 498)
- Pylontech US200C
- Cerbo GX (version 3.40)
- plus 230V PV system (converter + modules) 1.600VA
- the PV system is directly connected to the loads
- if the PV system is producing more than the loads actually takes, it should go via MP2 to the battery
- the MP2 and the battery are connected to the GX device
FYI: I just started with a very small battery to get a better understanding where to optimize what in real life (battery vs. PV system).
I followed the guide to download via the VRM portal the config of the MP2. Via "VE Configure 3" I'm able to change setting - it is just the question what do i have to change ;-)

Tab Assistants:
Assistant: ESS
Start Assistant
- Battery system
--> System uses LiFePo4 with other type BMS (would be what I would select)
- Bettery capacity
--> 50 Ah (based on the one US2000C specs)
- VEConfigure battery type selection
--> Change battery type as suggested
- Sustain voltage
--> 48,00V (I changed it as mentioned in most posts - but no Idea why it has to be 48V)
- Dynamic cut-off
--> all 4 has been changed to 46V (I changed it as mentioned in most posts - but no Idea why it has to be 46V)
- Restart offset
--> 1,2V (No changes as mentioned in most posts - but no Idea why it has to be 1,2V)
- PV Inverters
--> Changed to YES (Because I have a non VE PV 230V system connected)
- Voltage to restart PV
--> Restart PV Inverters when the DC voltage becomes lower than 40,00V (Totally lost ??? I'm using an independent PV system from a different vendor. So is it important for me???)
- Frequencies
--> The solar converter will start reducing its output power at 50,20 Hz
--> Output power will be reduced to minimum when the frequency is 52,70 Hz
--> The converter will disconnect when the frequency is highter than 53,00 Hz
(I'm not sure if my system does support this - have to ask - but would like to understand for what it is needed - and if maybe is better to turn that off to secure the PV system)
- Total solar power
--> Total installed PV inverter power is 1600 Watts
--> Total installed PV panel is 1780 Watts
# Summary Information Battery type - changed by assistant #
- Absorption voltage: 56,80V
- Flot voltage: 54,00V
- Maximum absorption time: 1 Hr
- Storage mode: unchecked
- Lithium batteries: checked
- Change curve: Fixed
- State of charge when Bilk finished: 95,0%
- Change efficiency: 0,95
It would be great if someone can have a look an guide me with the settings.
If I missed information - please let me know.
Thank you in advance
