1 backup generator to charge 2 separate systems battery banks

can i use 1 backup generators output (240V 12Kva) to charge 2 separated systems battery banks via a multiplus & a Quatro

The AC generator output be connected in parallel to each systems Ac Input (as would a Grid supply) & operated as called upon by the systems battery SOC using a CCGX & a Cerbo Gx auto manual Start

without using a Physical change over switch on the generators output to supply each system (which is my current consideration)

Yes, that is no problem at all. As far as the generator is concerned it is just connected to two separate loads. As you say, it is no different to the grid doing the same thing.

Be sure to set the input current limits on the Multi/ Quattro so as not to overload the generator.

That said, it would be charging both at the same time whenever one of them starts the generator, whereas with a changeover you would only be charging one at a time.

Thank you for confirming I thought that was ok but I just wanted to be sure as I have read its not doable on the ac out to combine 2 systems & you would have to do cascading

in regards to input current limits on the Multi/ Quattro so as not to overload the generator do they need to be the total possible output of the gen set 65Amps Shared
