Cerbo gx doesn't see ev charging station

I have added an EV charging station to my PV system. Communication with the Cerbo GX takes place via a WiFi network. The situation is now as follows:

The EV Charging Station "sees" the Cerbo GX and receives all system data. Everything is shown correctly on the display. However, the Cerbo GX does not see the charging station. It is neither displayed in the device list nor in the VRM.

If I let the Cerbo (192.168.101.64, FW V2.763~r12) search for Modbus TCP devices, an error is generated:

ERROR "Error processing function code 3, unit id 1, start address 5664, quantity 1, src 192.168.101.64: Modbus address 5664 is not registered"

One thing I should mention is that my system is a pre-configured system (salidomo by innov.energy), which uses FIAMM salt batteries. That's also the reason I didn't upgrade the Cerbo GX Firmware yet, because I don't know what kind of modification (if any) they did for the FIAMM batteries.

What could be the problem? Thanks for any help.
Urs

If the firmware is very old, It can't recognize the EVCS

Thanks Lucian

But how old is "very old"? 2.73~12 is obviously too old. Any idea, what version could/would work?

Thank you Lucian

In the meantime, I have updated the Cerbo GX to the latest firmware (V3.41). The connection with the EVCS is still completely unstable. I have already unscrewed the EVCS box from the wall twice to be able to do a hard reset. This has not helped. The EVCS recognizes the Cerbo GX for a short time (but not the other way round), then the connection is lost again and cannot be re-established. The whole thing happens in an otherwise very stable WLAN with good signal strength.

Either I'm missing something fundamental (which is entirely possible) or the EVCS was a bad purchase.

so are both gx and evcs updated to the latest version?

on the webpage of the EVCS how is the wifi signal level?

Remember that you have Bluetooth inside EVCS, if enabled, there is no need to reset it to default, you can access and configure it from there

not sure how technical are you, but when losing the connection, can you make a ping test to the EVCS IP?

Thanks Lucian

In the meantime, I've built a completely (hardware-)separated WiFi network for the solar stuff. Now, it seems to work. No idea what caused the problem before. I've worked in IT for over 40 years and learned not to be surprised by anything. :-)

In any case, thank you for your support!
