DVCC with Ve.can Blue Solar MPPT

Hi. I have a simple off-grid, no assistant setup:

1x Quattro with gen connected to ac1, 2x BlueSolar 150/85, CCGX, BMV-700.

I have a situation where if for some reason the generator starts on a sunny day then my battery charge current is way too high.

DVCC sounds like the answer to this situation.

Will a fututre software update allow the BlueSolar 150/85 to work with DVCC or do I need to buy new MPPT controllers?

If I enable DVCC without compatible MPPTs, will it still current limit the generator/quattro in the example above using the BMV700 as a battery current reference?

Regards

Gerald

Hi @Gerald Williams

I'm guessing these are the older 'square case' MPPT's?

If so I don't think they will support this.

You could wire the enable signal through the relay of the BMV or a relay of the Quattro to switch off the MPPT's when (BMV) current get's too high, or (Quattro) when AC-in is available.

You can also command the Quattro to lower charge current when (BMV) measures it too high.
