Solar Sizing with MPPT 100/30

Hello, I am working on a RV that the customer purchased four 24V 200W panels and a Victron MPPT 100/30 controller. The RV battery is a 12V LIFEPO4 lithium type. I have a couple questions.

1) The max possible voltage of each panel is 37.6V so a potential of 150.4V in series. Does this force me to wire the panels in parallel?

2) Can the Victron MPPT 100/30 controller charge a 12V battery if the 24V panels are wired in in parallel?

Thank you!

1. Yes, or do a 2p2s configuration. The 100/30 has a very hard input voltage limit of 100v, which must not be exceeded under any circumstances, so a safety factor of 10-20% is advised - ie keep your design array voltage around 80v or less to be sure of never exceeding the input limit. A 2p2s configuration would put you in a very nice position of around 75.2VOC at 10-12A input.

2. Yes. 37VOC is plenty of voltage differential to charge a 12vNOM LFP bank.
