Hi, my system was running perfectly 2 days ago and suddenly not anymore. MPPT charger not charging the batteries when sun is up and also the Inverter charger not charging batteries when running on normal power. System is running on ESS with battery minimum SOC set at 30%. Also, system being monitored by an ET112 energy meter. Victron System Overview.pdf
In the day before you had a small consumption between 09:00 and 17:00 and therefore the batteries managed to get charged. But after 17:00, quite a lot.
Probably you started to use big consumers, like AC.
You don't say anything about your PV installed power, but:
1. You started to have quite a big consumption per day.
2. You have a small battery for your new consumption.
3. You have a small PV system for your new consumption.
4. Probably you have a limit for charging batteries from grid.
Hi Alex
House runs on grid power as normal during early mornings and nights. Battery backup was mainly used for load shedding times here in South Africa, but somehow the power supply company (ESKOM) managed to keep the power on for the past 100 days. Now the battery is being used to assist with power consumption during the night. System is still small, but it is a work in progress to go larger and hopefully one day to be off the grid.
1. Yes, ESS setup for self-consumption to all loads. Water heater (geyser) kicked in.
2. Yes, future upgrade planned.
3. PV size is only 3.7kW - planned to increase in size.
4. Would rather use the PV to charge the battery than grid power.

System fixed. I had a set of fuses between the battery and the lynx power for protection. It appeared that the voltage on the lynx side of the fuses was measuring 53V and the voltage on the battery side of the fuses was 49.4V. Thus was the system running in absorption and not charging due to this discrepancy. Replaced fuse holder and fuses and problem disappeared. 
Maybe I am not seeing well, but did you used a CAN bus terminator on one of the VE.Bus ports ???
Alex, yes. Should the CAN bus terminator be used on the CAN bus out of the battery?
