Hello,
have been searching on the forum here and elsewhere about stuck potentiometers, but that doesn't seem to be it:
I would like to lower the voltage of a Orion DCDC StepUp converter.
The manual has this picture:
The screw is there and I can turn it, BUT for only one or two rounds.
In the manual is written the device can be adjusted from 20-30V on the output:
But with only 2 turns I can adjust the voltage only between 29.0 and 30.1V.
The device should be new, but was kept in storage for a couple of years.
After removing the screws and pulling the PCB out it optically looks good.
But it's difficult measuring anything with the PCB being coated ;-)
Did I overlook something and the voltage is actually not adjustable?
Can it be that the potentiometer is broken and is an exchange possible on a coated PCB?
Warranty is no more a subject, but I live quite remote and would just like to get the converter working.
Happy for any input on the subject.
Regards from South America,
Shiva
