Small BMS to control ve.direct phoenix 12/800

I made small setup with solar panel, mttp, battery (with small BMS) and an inverter. Recently however the voltage got too low and I realized I can connect the BMS to the inverter. Now I can't find the proper installation in the manuals. It says however I can connect the Load output of the small BMS to the positive pin of the On/off controller on the inverter.

So should I also connect then the negative pin of the On/off controller on the inverter to the Battery- output of the small BMS? Or directly to the negative charge of the battery?

Next to this is can install a simple buzzer to the pre-alarm output of the smallBMS. So the red cable should be connected to this pre-alarm output and the black cable also to the battery- output on the small BMS?

Hopefully somebody can answers this simple questions as I don't know completely how this devices work exactly and what those outputs do.

The SmallBMS user manual has the proper installation schematic for controlling your inverter, and a buzzer, and explains what the various ports do. Have another look: https://www.victronenergy.com/media/pg/smallBMS_with_pre-alarm/en/index-en.html
