Victron Multiplus 3000 slow to switch on

When I switch the inverter on, nothing happens for a while, then I can here the faint clicking of a relay. It seems to be attempting to switch on and I can see 230v appliance - a computer monitor - switch on briefly as it attempts with each click. Eventually it switches on. After that I can switch it on and off completely normally. It's as if it needs warming up. This has only happened recently. Batteries fully charged etc etc. Installed on a narrowboat. Any ideas?

How are you switching it? Via the rocker switch on the multi? Your description sounds as if you are switching it to 'charge only' and it is simply going thru the process of qualifying the ac input. If you are switching from 'off' to 'on' and this is your experience, it is possible that you are having a pre-charge issue and the batteries are momentarily disconnecting during the process. It would help narrow things down if we knew what process you are using to switch it.
