I need help understanding why my converter is using more power than my solar panels are making

so I have five solar panels rated at 40 V open circuit and 370 watts in my solar computer is telling me I'm making 40 A at 14 volts and I'm currently trying to run a 6000 W converter that hooks up to two of my three battery storages and I'm using just over 800 W on the inverter and I've read that the best way to increase your wattage is to increase your voltage I just wanna make sure there's not any other ways that I can do that to increase the watts I believe at 14 V 40 A is right around 600 watt and I'm trying to figure out if I am putting the solar computer at to low of a voltage and if raising it to 40 will increase my power but I'm also concerned that if I do raise it to 40 will that be too much for my batteries or does the computer still only put 12 V into the batteries?

Hi @gagestevens

Wow... It must be the longest phrase on the community... wedontcareaboutpunctuationatall...

Now, leaving the jokes aside, could you please rephrase it a little in order for us to understand what you mean, need, want?

Also a few words about your configuration - solar charge controller type, inverter type, battery type, etc - will not hurt.

Guessing: shading, batteries not fully charged, misconfiguration, etc...
