Hi all,
Does anyone know the minimum recommended Vmpp and Voc voltage required from a solar panel to charge a 24v battery. It would a lithium battery so charging at around 29v.
I've been looking at a single panel of which I have a choice of two. One has a Voc of 60v and Vmpp of 45v which I'm confident is fine. However the other panel which I would prefer has a Voc of 41v and Vmpp of 34v.
I'm concerned that on overcast days or early morning/late evening the latter panel would struggle to provide enough voltage.
I know I could get two smaller panels in series but cost wise a single big panel 400w is cheaper than two 200w panels.
Thanks.
