I have a completely off grid cottage and I'm putting my Quattro inverter in a power shed. AC-Out-1 will be wired to the breaker in the cottage itself.
I need power in the shed and would like AC-Out-2 to go to a separate breaker box that will provide power to the shed.
I'm completely off grid with solar powering batteries. So I want AC-Out-2 to be on all the time regardless of any AC input as I have no grid input.
Is there a simple way to set this up?
I do have a similar setup - fully off-grid, PV + Pylontech batteries and MP-II 5 kVA. I am using AC Out 2 for heating bathroom. It works with "programmable relay 012C" assistant without any problem.
It is not intended for this use case.
You can use the general relay assistant to force it on under specific conditions, by default it is off without grid.
Various topics on this subject, so worth doing some searching.
Switching ac 2 on all the time is easy with an assistant. How ever electrically you may need to clarify.
Go with VEConfigure in your Quattro configuration setup. Add the General Relay assistant and configure these to permanent AC on Out2.
Keep in mind that the AC 2 out has limited current: 25, 32 or 50 amps depending on model (check the spec sheet).
Since you will have a breaker panel in the shed anyway and if the AC 2 output current is a limitation, another way to do this is to install a breaker into that panel to feed the main house.
