The max number of VE.Direct devices that a Venus GX can handle is 6 - but it only has 2 VE.Direct ports built in.
Refer to Venus product range comparison table;

But, if you happen to want even more you can now use the NEW MPPT range with BOTH VE.Can and VE.Direct interfaces. The VE.Can interface can be daisy chained for upto 25 units!

You can have up to six VE.Direct devices on a Venus GX. Two with native connections, the other four will need to be connected via VE.Direct - USB dongles. You will need a USB hub with a good chipset too.
Remember a BMV is also a VE.Direct device, so five MPPT's and one BMV if you anticipate such a configuration.

The new VE.Can MPPT's which can daisy-chain 25 in one system. However, the 250/100 models are not available yet, unfortunately.
