Old multiplus 48/3000. Can it be updated?

I have a multiplus 48/3000 which I am unsure of the age of. Its serial number is HQ202472264

I am thinking about buying another 48/3000 to link them together but just found out about the firmware versions and some older hardware not being able to.

Will this inverter be able to be upgraded to current spec if I was to buy another 48/3000 this year? Or am I better off selling it and buying a single larger 48/8000?

Sell it. Old systems and new ones just don't pair well together.

Seconded. 10 years is a bit far between for pairing anything electronic.


HQ20s most of them had the newer larger chip and can run fairly up to date firmware. But to be sure check the chip number.

But you are better off with a new one anyway.
