Orion 12|12 - 30 no/negative amps

Hi all,

I have a camper trailer that has an Orion 12|12-30 non isolated installed (as well a Smart Solar and AC Charger) and connected to a SmartShunt 500/50.

I've noticed that when the input is via the AC or the Smart Solar, the shunt shows the voltage and amps going into the battery. However, when i connect the Orion via an Anderson on the drawer bar to my 4x4, I get an output voltage of 14.7V but the shunt shows i'm drawing power. I've turned off all power within the camper, so why is it drawing power?

The negative is connected to the System negative on the shunt and + to the battery.

Do I have a faulty Orion or is it wired incorrectly? This is how I received it, I did not wire it.

Not clear what's happening to cause this. It sounds as if the Orion is correctly wired. Are there any connections to battery negative, except for the shunt? There shouldn't be.

Perhaps you have access to a DC amp meter to confirm that the amps are actually flowing and the shunt is not showing false information? Could be just a shunt error.
