What does push button A on the Multiplus 2 actually do? In the manual it says "Push button A – To perform a startup without assistants". Is that referring to a generator startup? Does it just switch on the generator start relay?

Push Button A
It means to "reboot" the multiplus without loading any of the programmed assistants. So if one of the assistants is causing issues you can still start the Multi to fix it.
