Victron EasySolar II + MultiPlus II in parallel 1 phase operation

Hi,

EasySolar II shows as combination of few budling blocks and the inverter reports as Multiplus II 24/3000. For parallel single phase operation, is it compatible to connect MultiPlus II like this one: PMP242305010 with EasySolar? The latter has got PN: PMP242307010.

Both are 24/3000/70-32 with new revision 010 but then part of PN: 3050 does not match 3070.

Want to avoid "we will not talk to each other" software wise. I am looking for single phase parallel operation for increased VA capacity for periods of peak usage with AC, Kettle, Boiler etc.

Regards,

Mariusz

@mmx01

I have ES-II 48/3000 and MP-II 48/3000 and they work well in parallel.

If HW Rev # is the same there should be no problem.

Thanks! I ended up getting another ESII and put them in parallel. I will wire 2nd string of solar into it.

Also pricing is interesting MPII 24/3000VA is around 1100 eur, ESII is around 1300 eur but it includes 250/70 for 600 eur and GX is probably another 200 eur. So this unit is IMO really good value for money.

I needed to disconnect 2nd GX and rewire smartsolar ve.direct from the slave into the main unit but works good otherwise.

@mmx01 You will have to disable on GX unit.

Yes I know and I did it by disconnecting power to the board. Also you need to wire built-in MPPT ve.direct external to the other GX unit via ve.direct to USB cable. Otherwise built-in MPPT production of the second unit is not reported.

I am curious, is your ES-II 48/3000 and MP-II 48/3000 still talking to each other?

Mine stopped talking a few days ago and my installer says it has to due to a software update.

I am finding this hard to believe.

The MP-II gives a low battery warning constantly while the ESII shows the batteries as full.

My system has been working without problem for the last 2 years so I did not need to upgrade its FW.
