BMV-702/712 temperature probe type

Hello,

Can anyone tell me what type of sensor the Victron BMV-702/712 temperature is? I need to extend it so that I can get between my EasySolar unit and battery bank.

Although its probably not recommended, it should be OK to extend the cables providing you do not significantly increase the wiring resistance and voltage drop.

Best to run a quick test yourself before you cut anything - just see what temperature it measures without modification, then add some extension wires to the existing terminals and see if there is any change in the reading. That should provide you with more confidence to proceed.
