MPPT 75/15 Problem after update

Hi,

I have newly installed solar panes (4xSP 104 Solbian) 2x MPPT 75/15.

In history view I see that they have been producing some power and charging batteries. I’ve only connected to controlers on the second day. At the time of first connection with the app update of firemware was mandatory. Since then panes are not charging the batteries.

Thank you for your help.

As an additionalk info I think battery voltage reading on the solar controller is wrong. On the boat pannel I see 12.3V and MPPT is showing 13.6 - both MPPT units show the same / similar voltage of the battery.

An age old problem.

What voltage does your multimeter say?

You seem to have six days of history via the app info.

Have you been disconnecting the panels/battery while commissioning? That will add extra days into history. History is also not instant, but takes a while to be usable.

External meter shows 12.2V (and dropping) and VictronConnect app shows 13.63V constantly the same (despite consumption and drain of batteries).

It’s a new setup - first time installed on 23rd.

Thanks.

Hmm..

Disconnect solar, then battery from charge controller. Wait a couple of minutes and connect battery first, then solar.

That will re-boot the controller. Check what the leds on the controller report, before connecting via app.

Hope your sun holds out.

I would say a fuse between MPPT and battery has blown. You should check that and also check the 20A fuse at the MPPT.

One maybe stupid question: I’ve noticed that over night the controller is off - it can not be reached via app. Did it not reset it at that time?

That is another hint for a blown fuse.

Disconnect PV and check the voltage at the battery terminals of the MPPT.

Hi all,

Problem solved! It turned out to be fuse at the battery. Instead of 20 it was 5 (both versions are yellow only 20 is a bit darker one and at instalation a mistake was made). Now I have 15 amp fuses and it works great.

@M.Lange you were right :-)

Thanks all for help.
