My boat was struck by lightning on passage to the Galapagos approximately 300nm. Most electronics were fried including 2 Victron Quattro 5000s, 1 Phoenix 3000, 4 100/85 mppts (one caught fire), Lynx 1000 shunt, CCGX, and the list goes on and on.
I have now replaced all the equipment but the Lithium batteries were not replaced... yet.
Now that all the new equipment is installed the Inverters shut down immediately with a low voltage error when connected to the BMS even though the BMS is not indicating a low voltage issue. The inverters themselves also show 13+ volts when logging into them with an MK3.
I tested by only connecting 1 battery at a time to the BMS. Only 1 battery out of 6 did NOT trigger the low voltage condition on the inverters. My assumption is the balancer boards are damaged after the lightning strike.
What is Victron's recommendation to fix the batteries post a pretty catastrophic lighting strike?
Thanks in advance
Jon
