Observing Varied Behavior in Multiplus: "Limit Internal Charge to Prioritize Other Energy Sources"

Greetings Victron community,

I've been closely monitoring the performance of the new Multiplus feature that allows limiting internal charge to prioritize other energy sources. However, I've encountered differing behaviors under seemingly similar conditions. You can review the specific conditions and events here:

https://vrm.victronenergy.com/installation/177064/share/4bdfba95.

The initial incident occurred on 2023-11-11, during which the Multiplus maintained sustain mode as the system voltage was 13.26V, slightly above the configured sustain voltage of 13.2V. This allowed MPPTs to engage and raise voltages to 13.3V (as set by BMS: CVL=13.3V).

However, at a later date on 2023-11-27 at 21:12, under a comparable 75% State of Charge (SOC) and a voltage level of 13.26V, the Multiplus interrupted sustain mode and switched to absorption, causing the voltage to rise to 13.3V (as set by BMS CVL=13.3V) and not allowing MPPTs to charge.

I'm seeking clarification on this discrepancy. Why the difference in behavior? Which of the two scenarios aligns with the expected behavior for the mentioned capability? Does it have anything to do with the repeated absorption, and if yes - should the internal charge config be ignored in the Externally Controlled mode of Multiplus when it is controlled by BMS?

Your insights and guidance on understanding and resolving this discrepancy would be highly appreciated.

Attached: VRM extracts for both occurrences and Multiplus configuration details.

Thank you.
