MPPT 100/20 and 2x200W PV panel

Is Victron BlueSolar Charge Controller MPPT 100/20-48V suitable to connect 2 solar 200W panels in series (camper batteries : 2x 105 Ah, 12V system)

1) Only if your Solarpanel temperature goes not under -30C.


2) The BlueSolar MPPT 100/20 support only 330W in a 12V System. If it is ok for you to loose 70W, then yes, it will work. otherwise the BlueSolar MPPT 100/30 is more suitable, exspecially if it is winter and you get full sunshine because the panels can deliver more then the rated output.

Also interested in this - will to much panel output break the MPPT or will MPPT just limit the power but otherwise work normally?

Is there some upper limit for over power? Is for example 2000W for MPPT 150/70 still safe? I'm thinking it for outside summer season when yield is quite low here.

As suggested above, use Victron's calculator. But as long as you don't exceed the Isc rating of the MPPT and the input voltage rating at your lowest temperature, it will work.
