Cerbo GX Relay 2 to control 48V-57V power on/off?

I'd like to use my Relay 2 on the Cerbo GX (relay one has the generator auto start) to be able to power a POE injector on and off. This one: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0BX74T2T5?ref_=cm_sw_r_mwn_dp_R0SNRV6ZD0E9125QW1RP

The POE injector will be powering starlink and I'd like to be able to turn starlink on and off using the Relay 2 of the Cerbo over my LAN.

I've seen some relay discussions with the Cerbo that end up messing up the Cerbo relay and so I want to make sure I use best practices.

Anybody have any recommendations on how to do this?

What current are you going to be switching? The Cerbo limit is 1A DC if you're over 30V.

Manual suggests using the relay to switch a contactor for higher loads.

I'm not looking to power anything via the Cerbo, just send the signal to the X Device (some device that somehow controls the POE injector's power being made available from my bus bar to the POE injector).


Sounds like the X Device I may be looking for is a "contactor." Thanks for that, I'll take a look into finding a 48V contactor device.

To answer your question, I think the POE injector is 125W so it would be about 2.6A or so. But that will be powered by the bus bar and not by the Cerbo. I just need the Cerbo to send a signal that tells that contactor or whatever device to open up the flow from the bus bar to the POE injector or to close it.
