Hey there everyone.... I have a Iso transformer and Quattro going into a tight space on a vessel.. I have more than 10 cm around all the sides of each unit mounted next to eachother and behind the iso transformer there is about 9 inches. But the face of the units are only about 1 or 2 inches from a board in front of them.
To counter the problems with this mounting location...I have multiple push and pull thermostatically controlled 6 inch ventilation fans and vents to bring in fresh air from behind the iso transformer and circulate air out of the enclosed compartment over the top of the quattro. There is a board that fits above the units as a false ceiling with air flow to prevent condensation as well.
Im looking for comments on this install, Worst case it is possible to remove that board in front of the units and mount it under the fiberglass on a bracket, that would give an additional 2 inches in front of the units. The purpose of the board in front is to separate the units from the space of the nearby A/C unit, creating a mini tech room, and and prevent water intrusion in the case of a raw water hose failure on the A/C unit.
I could also mount a fan for air circulation around the front of the unit, however it seems to me that as long as I keep air flow above the units it should be fine. Thoughts?
By the way, don't ask me how I managed to lift that iso transformer into place.
