Automate smart battery based on time of day?

Hello,

Happy customer here. I would appreciate recommendations on how to achieve the following:

I have two backup battery banks that are charged via two IP65 smart chargers. I want them to only charge daytime or when there is PV solar charge available as there is no grid power at the site.
I assume I can automate this with a relay on a Smart battery protect ? I have a Venus GX, but it is +100m away from the backup battery banks. What would the smartest way to achieve this be? Run wires? Will the Venus GX do time of day automation? Many thanks!

So answering my own question I guess.

I did some more reading and I now understand the Venus OS does not do automation in itself and it would appear that I need to build this in something like openHAB using the MQQT broker.

Reading up... any hints on best practice for this is appreciated. Many thanks.
