Solar panels in combination with dc dc charger

Hi there


Haven't found an answer to this one the forum. I know that, when solar and wind are combined to charge a battery, a diode is needed to secure the solarpanels from reverse current. Is a diode als needed in dcdc/solar system?

Ehm, why do you need a Diode?


The Solarpanels are connected over a SolarCharger to the Battery and the Windmill is connected over a Wind charger to the Battery.


Later the load is connected to the Battery and maybe over a Battery Protector.


So what is your exact problem?

The windmill manufacturer puts it in his diagram.
