Discrepancy in energy company grid reading and VRM data

Hi all,

My VRM app is showing 248kWh for the first 6 months of this year, however my energy provider have charged me for 364. Any ideas?

How are you measuring? And a few more details of your system are needed here. Are you aloowed to feedback?

Power factor is often the difference. And the difference between the way the inverter systen measures and the way the grid provider measures.

@bf18

There are quite a few posts on the forum about it and possible reasons.

For example this one.

Hi Alexandra, thanks for this.

The energy provider has charged for 364 kWh from Jan-June this year and VRM shows 248kWh for the same period.

I am just wondering why this could be. The system is a 5kVa inverter with 1 x 250/70 MPPT.

Is there anything else that I could add that would help here?

Please post the actual images that you are seeing on the VRM. Are you sure you are reading the Total kWhr consumed from the Grid - including the kWhr used to charge the battery?
