Huawei Mediapad M5 Lite Bluetooth connection question

I bought a new SmartSolar MPPT 75/15. I can connect to it with VictronConnect on an Android Smartphone, no problem. Now I want to use a Huawei Mediapad M5 Lite tablet with Android 8.0.0 instead.

For some reason this doesn't work. I removed the BT connection from the smartphone and tried to connect the Huawei. But the App on Huawei doesn't find the SmartSolar. I am able to manually pair the devices over Bluetooth but can't see the device in the VictronConnect app. Is there a known compatibility issue with this tablet? Any hints?

Answering my own question: Location services was turned off.
During installation I had denied permission to access the location. After turning it on as suggested in https://www.victronenergy.com/live/victronconnect:start , the app now works
