Batteries not charging to 100%

Hello,

Seem to be having a problem reaching 100% SOC in campervan. System was working well but we disconnected and reconnected the batteries to complete a few jobs and since then the battery has been charging but SOC has not gone over 76% despite driving for hours and having the solar panels in full sun.

Unsure if it’s the battery settings we are using or something else. The settings we are using are

based on what our parts supplier advised.

We have:

2x110Ah 12v Lithium LiFePo4 batteries

Victron 500A smart shunt

12V/12v -30A non-isolated B2B charger

100/20 charge controller + 2 solar panels

A bit new to this so any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

@Elyse Farhi you forgot the screen shot of the mppt's battery settings. Are they the same as the Orion's battery settings?

As per the SmartShunt manual you will need to make some adjustments.

Charged voltage > 14.2v normally 0.2v below absorption voltage.

Peukert exponent > 1.05

Charge Efficiency > 99%

Thanks for your reply!

We have a blue solar mppt 100/20 and no dongle. We don’t have a clear way of adjusting the settings for this unit i think? Reviewing some of the victron videos and stuff it might be wise for us to get a dongle, our supplier didn’t suggest one so we didn’t know it might be helpful…

We’ve just made the adjustments to the smartshunt as per your suggestion and will monitor!
