Can you mount the lynx distributor on 1/4" aluminum plate as I assume the plastic case would insulate it? Thnx J

I can’t see why not.
Indeed the plastic housing is fully isolated from any live parts.
I have seen them safely installed inside metal rack cabinets.
Thank you Guy . I thought so but what is throwing me off is Im getting voltage on the + side of the Lynx distributor without batteries attached . I attach the volt meter leads , + to my engine batteries and - to the lnyx busbars . I know in an RV the grounds are tied together so I figured the - on the lynx would act as a ground for the + on the separate engine battery but am confused as to why the + busbar on the lynx could also act as a ground for the separate engine battery . I thought the + and - busbars on the lynx were isolated from each other ? Out of my pay grade .. J
