Cerbo GX LAN troubles.

Dear Forum:

I have a Problem with my Cerbo GX and Ethernet/Internet connection.
My GX wont connect with lan - Wifi is working fine!

So if i connect the Ethernet cable it only reads in the Ethernet tab:

Status ....... Retrieving IP adress.
Nothing happens. Also bouth LEDs at my Cerbos LAN port are lit up but not blinking.
The counterpart light on my router never blinks.

My router works fine with every other device.

Everything is on automatic.

Only thing that I dont understand is:
Link-local IP adress is 169.254.12.90

Can somebody pls assist me?

I am having the same trouble whereby it wont retrieve the IP address. it worked on WIFI for 12 months and now that has broken.

Victron have replaced the unit but this time the LAN port will not even recognize the LAN cable is plugged in and simply reads unplugged. Also the port lights are not flashing suggesting the port on the new unit is dead. I have tried different cable, a different port on the switch and a different router.


any thoughts would be appreciated

Did you try a different Lan cable?

Yes i tried 4 diffrent cables

Are there any special cables?

Do you solve your issue?
I have the same issue with EasySolar and Venus. It is not easy to solve my issue with LAN. Il had changed my cable, my router, insert a swtich between the GX and the LAN.... Only wifi is OK with VRM, only when the wifi manages to connect to the GX...

I plan to supply a yagi antenna @2.4Ghz to improve the communication in wifi.

No sorry it was simply broken and i did return it for a new gx.

Now everything is working fine!
