I have 12 x 24V/180Ah Lithium in series parrallel to provide 48V with capacity 1080AH. What limits can I set the auto start generator at? Start generator charging at 40% and finish charging at 99%?
This is up to you as a whole and will depend on your requirments
I dont know the size of the inverter you are using and what you are using to trigger autostart ie a venus GX or CCGX
Generator Autostart is NOT cut and dried as it depends on a lot ov variables.
myself I use a Venus GX to trigger Autostart and Stop and also use quite hrs as well
I use voltage set to start at 50 volts and stop at 55V
I use voltage as this is ALWAYS correct you can also use SOC but this is not 100% so maybe use both, but you will have to monitor WHY the gen started for a while to get your head around the reason for the start and adjust that parameter as needed.
I suplement this with

Inverter Hi temp on
and AC load level ??? depends on your inverter
