Will the IP65 Smart shunt work correctly if a chassis ground is attached to the negative terminal of a battery on one end and the shunt installed between the same negative terminal and the main on/off switch? To clarify, a chassis ground wire runs to the battery negative terminal, then a cable runs from the same negative terminal to the battery minus bolt on the smart shunt. The load minus cable then runs to a main on/off switch, then negative bus bar. Does the chassis ground have to be connected to the load minus or after the shunt. Hope this makes sense.
