Mega Fuses in Lynx Distributer

The Lynx Distributer fits Mega Fuses, but I see a lot of suggestions that LiFePO4 batteries should really be connected through a Class T fuse for protection.

Is there an official position on this?

Local regs?

There are more factors than just over current such as speed and arc.

Usually it is class t if you need fast blow. Mega if that is not too much of a concern.

I believe the concern is more to do with the ability of a T class to stop the arc rather than speed of blow.

The BMS should be the first limit here.

All of that should be taken into design consideration as i mentioned.

For example in a 12v system it would be better to individually fuse each battery to the lynx rather than daisy chain. In that case the mega could handle the arc from one battery.

So the choice would be based on system design and local regs.

T class blow faster than mega fuses. Megas allow temporary overcurrents, t fuse less forgiving.
