How do I get the Pylon Tech Battery to list under devices on my Venus GX?

How do I get the Pylon Tech Battery to list under devices on my Venus GX?

The devices in the system.

  1. MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70
  2. Venus GX
  3. SmartSolar 250/100
  4. Pylon US2000B x5

I have the latest firmware on the Venus GX and the MultiPlus.

Should I change the baudrate on the pylontech battery?

Should I turn the batteries Off and back On after connecting to the Venus?

I did have the CANbus cable the wrong way round to start off but this is now fixed.

Any idea?

Same question, note for my installation the installer already installed a non Pylontech cable to enable communication between MultiPlus II and my 2 x US2000 Plus batteries.

  1. Go to settings>services and set the baud rate to 500kbps for pylon. The pylon needs to be plugged in using the correct cable to CanBus on the Venus device and the can port on the master battery of the Pylontech bank. The master is the one of which the link port 0 is not used

Should I reboot the Venus GX after making changes to the setup or will it list the pylon batteries without rebooting?

A reboot is not necessary, but can’t hurt.

Ok.

I found the problem.

The cable supplied by Pylontech is not correct.

Made my own cable.

TYPE B cable is required - the pin configuration is tabled here.
