How can I factory reset a BMV-700

Communication between the cell phone and the BMV was cut in the middle of the software update, so it doesn't work anymore.

Hello Mario,

It is not possible to damage a BMV with a bad firmware update.

The firmware update routine is a lower level, and is not affected if the firmware update fails or is interrupted.

You will need to try again to update the firmware, if you are using an android device, perhaps try with an iPhone. There is more information about VictronConnect compatibility here:

Hi Guy,

Our BMV does not turn on when plugged. We need to hold Setup and Select to turn it on.

We tried with iPhone and Android, several times.

The update stops at about 92% and the BMV turns off.

Can you approve a RMA if you have no other solutions than the links that you sent?

We saw other clients mentioning the same problem on your forum.
