Connect solar panels to mppt without battery

Hi there,

I would like to know if i can connect the solar panels to the charge controller (mppt 100/30 smartsolar) to test the current/voltage output from the panels even though no battery is connected to the charge controller?

Without any load on low voltage DC bus you will not have any load to your PV array. The voltage on PV will be OCV at the moment of measuring and no current
