Mppt 150/100 is not charging with 3 solar panels in serie

Hello,


I have the SCC115110512 ( 150/100 ve can) mmpt.

I have a 48V system. The mppt wit 2 panels in serie works ( +- 65 volts) , but with 3 panels ( 107 volts) it doesn't work.

If I google this mppt it's rated for a 12/24 volts system, but in the setings you can choose 48V. screenshot-20220727-155512.jpg


They sold me this unit screenshot-20220811-205135-chrome.jpgas for 12/24/36/48 volts. I had contact with a repair centrum from Victron, and they said it should work on 48 volts. I received a new unit, same problem.

What is going on?


Ps. I'm Running a 3f 5000VA multiplus ESS systeem. My other mppt's are working fine.


I hope someone can help me out here.

My guess is this mppt is not capable for a 48 V system, but Victron is not believing me. I think the SCC115110511 is the one I need.

Has someone the specs of the SCC115110512?

SCC115110512 ( 150/100 ve can) . Apparently very new.

Hi @Bstechnic , we have four models that are 12/24 only:

SCC115085412 - SmartSolar MPPT 150/85-Tr VE.Can (12/24)
SCC115085512 - SmartSolar MPPT 150/85-MC4 VE.Can (12/24)
SCC115110412 - SmartSolar MPPT 150/100-Tr VE.Can (12/24)
SCC115110512 - SmartSolar MPPT 150/100-MC4 VE.Can (12/24)


I'll send you an email to learn which Repair center, to make sure they're properly informed as well as a few other things. And most importantly, get you a good unit.
