Connect EM24 to local network

Hi @ all

I finally got an electritian with made the changes to my local power system so that I can fire up my victron Quatro II. I am now at the step to setup the two ET340(actually EM24) power meters. They come with default IP set to 192.168.1.10 which will not work as me net is 192.168.0.x.

How do I switch the ET340 to DHCP mode? The menu of the unit is rather odd and a connection via ehternet (UCS7 software) does not work for obvios reasons. Somebody has a manual for the steps in the menu?

Thanks.

@Sesshoumaru

Are you sure the ET340 can be connected to LAN?

EM24 has the Ethernet version.

Yes, you are right ... I got the EM24 but in a box with the label ET340 ... no don't ask me why.

Is there some manual to describe how to set the IP or activate DHCP with the unit itself. I cannot change my subnet to just setup the meter. DHCP should be on by default!

Try this resource from Carlo Gavazzi site.

The people at Carlo Gavazzi seem to have an odd sense for humor.... just activate it.

Do you have problem entering the setup menu?

You will find instruction of how to operate the joystick on page 8 of this manual.

On page 13 in "general settings" you will find page with DHCP name tag.

I figured it out. Who ever made this menu shall be fired on spot.

1) Press navigation button for 3-5 seconds - this will enter you into the config menu

2) Search for DHCP with left right (not up down)

3) When finding DHCP press the button again, but only short (PRG will appear)

4) You are not in programming mode

5) Press "down" with the navigation button (DHCP: on)

6) Press the button shortly again (PRG goes away)

7) Push "Right" until you find "End"

8) Press th button short again

Congrats. That was easy, right?
