The behaviour has something to do with a feature called battery life. More on it here.
Switch from optimized with battery life to without battery life.
The active SOC with battery life is usually raised by about 5% everyday if it is not keeping up with solar.
Mine did the same when I was using active SoC, which was annoying as my unit then charged more than I felt it should from the grid and therefore used less solar PV energy the following day. I'm hoping some one will comment of this post with more information of how the algorithm works on calculating active SoC. I've read the Victron documents on the subject but it doesn't quite tally up with how my system was operating of Active SoC so I stopped using Active Soc on my ESS and have also now turned off scheduled charging. Still early days on how my system will overall perform but I will be following this post to see what comments others have on it to hopefully give myself also a better understanding of Active SoC.
Additional resources still need to be added for this topic
