Dead Multiplus 12 | 1600 | 70

Hi Forum,

I'm in the bush in Africa, far from support, so your help would be greatly appreciated!

My Multiplus has served me reliably for many years, but now when my 230V grid power fails, the inverter no longer turns on. I've measured 13V from the batteries and I only have a few lights on the circuit. The red 16A AC circuit breaker feels soft and spongy - could that be the issue? The pass-through works, but when the grid power fails, everything dies. I've tried the troubleshooting steps in the manual without luck.

Thanks,

Mike

The red 16A breaker is on the AC input not on the output.

There is a 250A DC fuse inside check by taking it out and measure continuity.

@Matthias Lange - DE I've tested the fuse and there is continuity. Any other suggestions? Thanks again, I'm very grateful for your help! Mike

After some testing and troubleshooting, I found that the batteries are the culprit. They show ~13V when tested, but as soon as load is placed on them, they drop to nearly zero. My Multiplus is fine! Thanks again for the help. Mike
