DC consumption data missing on VRM

A client of mine is running 600Ah Relion LiFeP04, Cerbo GX - touch 50, EasySolar 12/1600-70 16, 2 x 100/50MPPT, 2000W PV, and has recently swapped out a BMV712 for a Lynx Shunt VE-Can.

The overview graph and overview were perfect with the BMV, however with the Lynx the AC consumption is being captured but the DC is not, we have checked all the settings several times, even reconnected the BMV, perfect, then the Lynx same issue, the DC consumption is showing in the "to battery" and not in the "direct use".

The data in the 1st image is perfect, but we lose the DC consumption in conversion to the graph.

Any help appreciated

I'm sorry I have nothing to contribute to your problem, but I am curious how you are gathering and reporting the additional three temperatures (Hot Water, Ext Temp and Fridge).

Hi @Wayne that sounds like a nice install!

I have to disappoint you for the DC consumption I’m afraid. Those kWh graphs don’t take any DC consumption into account.

Its specified in more detail here. If I remember correctly, it was impossible to make then reasonably reliable. The input data (multi dc current minus lynx dc current) is already unreliable.

Perhaps it can be improved now that we have more accurate DC system monitoring (see DC energy meter in v2.80). But thats really something I cannot promise any timeline on.

Have a good weekend, Matthijs

Hi @mvader (Victron Energy) thanks very much for taking the time to have a look.

Its interesting as prior to installing the Linx shunt, the Kw bar graphs and solar overview pie graphs were perfect with a BMV712.

We will have a play adding a smart shunt as an energy meter using the new 2.80 functionality.

You too re the weekend.

Cheers

Wayne
