Hello,
is it possible to start the multiplus, for programming purpose only, with a laboratory power supply on battery input? can this cause problems or damage?
Background: My battery will be delivered in about 6 weeks, I don't want to wait that long for the first integration tests with bms.

Yes, I do this often. You'll need an Amp or two.
Just be aware of the inrush current when connecting the DC. Take all precautions surrounding the AC that the inverter will be producing along with it's earthing arrangement.
