Michael Ziegler asked

Will the BMS cut off low temperature charge from MPPT to lithium Batteries

I have seen what appears to be two contradictory answers to this question - can someone give me a definitive answer ? Thanks

screen-shot-2022-01-10-at-232141.jpgThis is my system .....if the BMS does not control low temperature cut off - I think I can connect the temperature on the Smart Shunt and the MPPT should receive temperature, along with Current and voltage on my VE. Smart Network?

What batteries and BMS do you have?
Is the wiring diagram from your system?

The VE.Bus BMS will open the "charge disconnect" in case of a low battery temperature.

The BMS successfully disconnected the MPPT at 5C - but I batteries are now back at 8C and we have good sun - but the MPPT is still disconnected. Am I supposed to do something to reconnect the MPPT so that it will charge?
