Lynx Smart BMS Weak Bluetooth.

In comparison to my BMV 717, My New Lynx Smart BMS has far weaker bluetooth signal, So weak that I have to stand right next to the unit to connect the VC app and view data, and more crucially activate the remote contactor to isolate the batteries.

Tha same goes for the Battery Protect 220A, Orion Smart Isolated 12v 30a.

This is obviously quite frustrating, especially given my Boat is only 40ft long, and that these re all new products.

Is there anyway to boost the signal strength? is it to do with the app or the hardware?

Off all the Victron devices I have, I agree that the BMV does seem to be the strongest bluetooth of all devices.

That said I have a Bavaria 44 (she is actually 46ft waterline) and do have a few issues when at the bow/forward cabin, but generally can access the batteries, Lynx BMS, Solar MPPTs, Smart Battery Protects and Orion TR Smart throughout the main portions of the boat and cockpit. In the forward cabin I have 2 bulkheads between me and the kit in the saloon, but can still just about access the smart MPPTs (installed in the lazarette). Occasionally I have issues with MPPT mounted on the port side, but suspect that is down to where the radio portion of the equipment is facing.

Where are the devices installed? are they near metal objects, bulkheads, etc. both WIFI and Bluetooth will be impacted by these items.

I have also noticed different behaviour depending on the device I am using, between iPhone, iPad and Laptop.

As I say generally I can access all equipment.I have even found neighbouring vessels when I scan. Living on a swinging mooring they are not as close as in a marina!
