Hi there,
Some questions about the Globalink 520:
- What is the amount of data (bytes) sent to cloud every 15 minutes by Victron GlobalLink 520, when connected to following Victron equipment?
- BMV-600 battery monitor and SmartSolar MPPT 250/100 Solar Charge Controller
- BMV-600 battery monitor and SmartSolar MPPT RS 450/200 Solar Charge Controller
Given the 1NCE SIM cards included in Victron GlobalLink 520 support 2G/3G/4G/NB-IoT networks, does the GlobalLink 520 hardware also support the same networks? Ie, will it automatically switch to 3G network when 4G signal is weak or drops out? GlobalLink 520 documentation and FAQ only mentions support of 4G networks and no support for NB-IoT networks, but there is no mention about 2G or 3G network support or fallback. Usually all 4G devices fall back to 3G and 2G when 4G signal becomes weak or unavailable. In this specific case, the customer site has weak 4G signal in best weather conditions, while it is unreliable and may die completely under bad weather conditions – whereas 3G works all the time. If GL 520 can use 3G only, it could be the monitoring solution for this customer.
Thanks!
