The Lynx distributor lights only work when there is a 5v source over the RJ11 port that's supplied by either a lynx shunt (replaces the smart shunt you already have) or a lynx smart BMS. There are hacks online to get the lights to work with a dc-dc converter down to 5v, but it's often more trouble than it's worth.
The Distributor alone will not power the LEDs, the power for the LEDs is coming through the RJ10 cable from a Lynx Shunt or Lynx BMS
