2 DC-DC isolated converters connected in series to provide a dual power supply

I have a question please. Is it safe to connect two isolated converters in series to achieve -/+12V dual power supply? Is it safe to connect the negative converter output terminal of the first converter to the positive output of the second converter? The outputs are isolated from the input.

The product is Victron Orion-Tr 48/12-30A (360W) Isolated DC-DC converter

Why not use a 48/24 model? If you need higher current than one can deliver, they can be connected in parallel. Designed to be used that way.

We need a negative voltage rail -12V and the midpoint to be 0V. 24V output converter won't work. Thanks.

Guessing it would work, but please check with dealer first. You would, I think, need to ground the midpoint connection to ensure 0V.

Thank you. Yes, the midpoint would be connected to the output ground.

Should be fine, the data sheet specifies up to 200V between input/output/case is OK.
